Join SYZYGY, the premiere new music collective of SMU Meadows School of the Arts, directed by George Nickson, for an inspiring program of works by leading voices of new American composition, including Raven Chacon’s Pulitzer Prize Winning Work, Voiceless Mass. SMU Composition faculty Xi Wang’s work will be featured alongside duos and sextets from Sarah Kirkland Snider, Shawn Okpebholo and Ania Vu. Led by conductor and director George Nickson, this concert will feature SMU’s fantastic instrumental students as they demonstrate the breadth and depth of these new masterworks in the wonderful acoustic of Caruth Auditorium.
