Jonathan’s Place “Be the Tie” Luncheon

Experience the Texas Child Welfare System through the eyes of amazing
individuals with lived experiences. Hear from a mother who had her children
removed, by Child Protective Services (CPS), which turned out to be a
blessing in disguise for her and her children; a single woman who dreamed of
adopting and now has five beautiful children; a young woman who recalls the
day she had to call CPS on her own mother in order to change the trajectory
of her life; and a case worker who simultaneously experiences a foster/adopt
family’s highest highs and a child’s lowest lows all while knowing that a
miracle is taking place.
