Coming Out to the Streets Book Club

Dallas Hope Charities’s Collective Hope Coalition is hosting their first-ever book club that will wrap up November 16th in honor of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Nov 13 – 18. Every week, we will discuss Dr. Brandon Andrew Robinson’s “Coming Out to the Streets” and how the book ties into our fight to end hopelessness.

Books can be purchased on Amazon, UC Press, Barnes and Noble, or through used bookstores. If cost is a barrier, please reach out for alternative options.
Note that this book contains uncensored accounts from LGBTQIA+ youth who have experienced homelessness which may be triggering for some. We encourage everyone to engage with the book at their comfort level. Subject matter includes language, self-harm, suicide, homophobia, transphobia, abuse (verbal and physical), drug use, sexual assault, bullying, and police brutality.
