As part of Dallas Arts Month, Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) has launched North Texas Gives to the Arts, a two-week giving campaign designed to uplift the region’s vibrant arts and culture scene. Running from April 17–30, the campaign invites community members to support local arts nonprofits while unlocking access to $100,000 in matching funds.
Through NorthTexasGivingDay.org/Arts2025, donors can double their impact: the first $500 donated per organization will be matched until the pool of matching funds is met. The match is made possible by The Giana Foundation Fund, the Robert B. and Virginia Payne Fund for Arts & Culture, and CFT.
“Local arts nonprofits play a vital role in uniting our community — they inspire creativity while ensuring that high-quality arts and cultural experiences are accessible,” said Calvert Collins Bratton, Chief Relationships Officer at CFT. “Dallas Arts Month is the perfect time to celebrate North Texas artists by supporting the organizations that provide them with the platforms and resources they need to thrive.”
On the giving site, donors can browse eight different categories of verified arts and humanities nonprofits: History & Heritage; Arts Advocacy & Support; Dance; Visual Arts, Media, & Film; Music; Literary Arts; Theater; and Multidisciplinary Arts. With more than 400 participating nonprofits, there’s an opportunity for every individual to support the creative causes that matter most to them.
The campaign also aligns with the final weeks of Dallas Arts Month, a city-wide celebration held every April that invites residents and visitors to engage with the arts through performances, exhibitions, and events across all disciplines. It’s a reminder of just how vital these institutions are—not only for personal enrichment but for the health and vitality of our region.
In fact, according to the 2023 Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) survey by Americans for the Arts, the arts and culture sector in Dallas generated an impressive $853 million in economic impact, supported 14,000 jobs, and contributed significant tax revenue across all levels of government.
“North Texas Gives to the Arts is about more than donations,” added Frank Maio of The Giana Foundation Fund. “It’s about empowering creativity, supporting local artists, and ensuring the arts remain a vital part of our community for generations to come.”
Whether preserving cultural heritage, providing access to arts education, or amplifying local talent, these nonprofits are at the heart of what makes North Texas a vibrant, connected, and creative place to call home.
