The Dallas (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (The Links), is proud to announce its plans for the upcoming 2024 Women Who STEAM Awards Luncheon, to be held on April 4, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Warwick Melrose. Presented by Texas Capital, the 5th annual awards luncheon, themed “Kaleidoscope: Illuminating Women and their Diverse Paths to STEAM Success”, will recognize 7 outstanding women in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics who exemplify contributions in their fields while also Serving, Teaching, Excelling, Aspiring, and Mentoring within their respective workplaces and communities. The highly anticipated ceremony will feature a seated lunch and program, raffle for luxury prizes and experiences, and musical performance by Dallas-based musician and violinist, Clover.
The 2024 Awards Luncheon is also the inaugural year for the granting of the Eddie Bernice Johnson STEAM Academy Scholarships, which was officially established in 2023. The Eddie Bernice Johnson STEAM Academy Scholarships are presented to deserving STEAM Academy Senior Scholars, and serve as a legacy and tribute to The Honorable Eddie Bernice Johnson for her service as the first African American and first woman Chair of the House for the Space, Science and Technology Committee. The award is also a demonstration of her dedication to the success of the Dallas Links STEAM Academy.
Proceeds from the luncheon (including the raffle) directly support the STEAM Academy, community programs, and also helps to provide scholarships to college-bound students.
