This year’s Party in the Park was chaired by the adult children of beloved two-time Super Bowl champion and former Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach and his wife Marianne: former Dallas City Council member Jennifer Staubach Gates and her husband John; Staubach sisters Michelle Grimes, Amy Mentgen and Stephanie Phillips, and their husbands John Grimes, Jamie Mentgen and Todd Phillips; and brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Jenny Staubach. World-renowned philanthropist Lyda Hill served as honorary chair for this mission-critical annual fundraiser.
Party in the Park is an important annual event which raises 15% of Klyde Warren Park’s annual operating budget—money which is used to keep the beloved green space clean, safe and active. This year, with the help of more than 900 party guests, the celebration raised more than $1 million. These dollars will be used to offer more than 1,300 free and diverse programs to more than 1.3 million annual Park visitors.
