Join a coalition of more than two dozen community organizations, advocates and allies for a unified World AIDS Day event at Cathedral of Hope. The evening will celebrate the voices, stories, and resilience of our community with an inspiring program that fosters hope and calls to action.
State Representative Venton Jones, District 100, will deliver remarks about the efforts made by the North Texas community to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the work to yet to be done, followed by a blessing by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, performances by Turtle Creek Chorale, Patti Le Plae Safe, and Shantae Morgan and a compelling panel discussion on how the bold protests of the ‘80s and ‘90s laid the foundation for today’s strength, solidarity and progress.
The free event will include refreshments and labels from partner organizations featuring education and resource information.
