This weekend on July 2nd, Firewheel Town Center in partnership with the Title Sponsor, The City of Garland, are thrilled to present their annual Independence Day event, Star Spangled Spectacular: A Firewheel Town Center Celebration.
Welcoming all ages, the community is invited for an evening of family-fun activities including oversized lawn games, an obstacle course, bounce house, live DJ Taylor Dupree, stilt walkers, face painting and more. Local food trucks will be featured along Coneflower Drive and near the main stage area, and vendor booths from favorite Firewheel retailers Columbia Sportswear, Pandora, HAPIK and more will be located on Town Square Boulevard.
Live entertainment on the main stage begins at 6:00pm with Manhattan, a 10-piece band, performing crowd favorites. Celebrating the nation’s independence, guests can look forward to a greeting by the City of Garland at 9:00pm, directly followed by a flag presentation presented by Boy Scouts Troop 100 and the National Anthem performed by recent Garland High School graduate and Garland resident Alena Abraham. A closing message from City Council and Mayor of Garland, Scott LeMay leads into the Firewheel Fireworks Spectacular for a show to remember.
This event is complimentary and open to the community. DART transportation is available, the bus stop for drop off and pick up will be on the southwest corner of Town Center Blvd and Horseshoe Dr. (West)
