This year also holds special significance for not only Shantea’s Cabaret but the LGBTQIA+ community, as the art of drag has become the target of conservative-backed legislation here in Texas banning the art form. Senate Bill 12 was approved by the governor on June 18, during Pride Month no less, and will go into effect on September 1. For centuries, Drag has served as a powerful form of self-expression, artistic creativity, and community building. Additionally, Drag shows have historically been a safe haven for the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a space where individuals can authentically express their true selves and find support and acceptance.
By attending Shantae’s Cabaret Drag Show, you are not only supporting a captivating evening of entertainment but also contributing to the visibility and recognition of an art form that has played a crucial role in the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights and acceptance. Featuring two Dallas Hope Charities board members, Shantaé Morgan and Miss Judy Ism, your night is sure to be filled with laughter and entertainment. All proceeds from Shantaé’s Cabaret will go to providing food, shelter, and services that instill dignity, stability and #HopeForAll!

RAFFLE TICKETS
In conjunction with our event, we are also hosting a raffle to win 4 tickets to the opening night of THE CHER SHOW at the Winspear Opera House on Thursday, December 14th at 8PM.
Superstars come and go. Cher is forever. THE CHER SHOW is the Tony Award®-winning musical of her story, and it’s packed with so much Cher that it takes three women to play her: the kid starting out, the glam pop star, and the icon. Win tickets for you and three others to see the Dallas performance on opening night!
