Volunteers will help mechanically remove invasive woody plant species from Sections 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the cemetery. This effort is part of a larger ecological restoration initiative to support native tree regeneration and protect the integrity of this culturally significant greenspace. Our objective is to promote native tree recruitment by removing aggressive, non-native plants that compete for resources and disrupt the local ecosystem. Your participation helps restore the ecological health of this historic site and sets the stage for future native planting efforts. Let’s work together to give native trees the space and sunlight they need to thrive!
