The Meadows Percussion Ensemble performs important recent masterworks for percussion by Andy Akiho, Michael Burritt, Hiroya Miura and Franco Donatoni. Virtuosity and rhythmic complexity are on full display in this program which ranges in size from keyboard trios all the way up to Donatoni’s incredible sextet, Darkness, which will fill the Caruth stage with instruments.
