The Spring Dance Concert will feature choreography by Carlos R. A. Jones, Robert Battle and New York City Ballet founder George Balanchine. Jones, Chair of SUNY/Brockport Dance, will create a new jazz work. Meadows Dance is thrilled to perform a restaging of Balanchine’s masterwork Concerto Barocco, performed live by musicians from Meadows’ Division of Music. The program will conclude with a new work by the esteemed Robert Battle, former artistic director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
