Dallas Symphony Orchestra & Turtle Creek Chorale Present Sing for Our Lives

September 19, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$58 – $187

Two of Dallas’ largest arts organizations are partnering for their first full scale concert this September with themes of positivity, investment in mental health and the unifying and soothing powers of music. At 7:30 PM on Tuesday, September 19, Turtle Creek Chorale and Dallas Symphony Orchestra will present ‘Sing For Our Lives,’ a program that encourages us to extend a helping hand to those around us and, equally importantly, to ourselves.

Turtle Creek Chorale and the DSO aim to create an unforgettable evening that resonates deeply with the audience. Featuring familiar works and new pieces for choir and orchestra, the performance will also include four speakers who will share their inspirational journeys in a celebration of life, leaving you better equipped to make a difference in your families and families of choice.

Among new music debuting at this concert are five new works commissioned by Turtle Creek Chorale composed by a diverse group of composers, continuing a trend of investment in new, innovative choral works that both appeal to modern audiences and support up and coming composers of color, female composers, and LGBTQ+ composers by TCC. TCC and the DSO will be joined by members of the Project Unity Choir and Make a Wish children for various numbers throughout the program.
