$20 Kids Camp in July at Green Acres Nursery & Supply

This summer, Green Acres Nursery & Supply invites families to discover a whole new way to shop and play with the launch of their Kids’ Camp at Green Acres Nursery & Supply — a fun and educational gardening experience designed just for kids while moms (and dads!) enjoy a relaxing shopping trip through the nursery.
Running every Tuesday in July from 10:00–10:45 a.m., these engaging, hands-on camps will introduce children to the magical world of gardening through bees, berries, bugs, and blooms. Each 45-minute session includes a themed lesson, a planting or craft activity, a scavenger hunt, coloring, stickers, and a sweet garden-themed snack.
“Our new Kids’ Camp gives families a way to connect with nature and gardening in a fun, low-stress way,” said Jen Crowley, Marketing Director at Green Acres Nursery & Supply. “Parents can shop, stress-free, for plants while their children enjoy a creative, educational, and safe experience.”

Camp Schedule & Themes:
July 8 – Pollinators At Play
Meet our favorite flying friends and learn about the plants that attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. Kids will enjoy a pollinator-themed scavenger hunt, honey stick treat, and take home a bee-themed sticker.
July 15 – Berry Delicious
Pot up a small edible plant and learn how to care for fruiting plants. This session focuses on general berry growing (such as blackberries or seeds) to beat the Texas heat. Includes a fruit-themed hunt, rock painting, a sweet treat, and a berry-themed sticker.
July 22 – Be A Bug’s Best Friend
Dig into the world of worms and discover how they help our gardens grow. We’ll explore worm composting, get hands-on with a fun worm activity, and wrap up with a coloring book and gummy treat.
July 29 – Flower Fun
Build your own wearable creation using dried flowers and foliage—flower crowns for girls and goggle-style floral wear for boys. Kids will also tour the nursery, learn about the life cycle of flowers, and enjoy a floral-themed snack.
Spots are limited to 25 guests, and advance ticket purchase is required. To sign up or learn more, visit https://idiggreenacres.com/pages/events-tx
