As a thank you to all the hard-working mothers, bonus moms and mom figures juggling work, home life and more, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center hosted a Center Table Mother’s Day mobile pantry food event on May 11.
Free and open to the public, the event provided food boxes to more than 500 families plus entertainment including performances by local violinist Leoncarlo Canlas, swag bags, flowers provided by Dallas Fire-Rescue and more.
In partnership with the North Texas Food Bank and the City of Dallas, the drive-up event was presented by The Mark Cuban Foundation, The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and The Heroes Foundation.
Center Table launched in May 2020 to address the tough times many families have faced since the onset of the pandemic. And with inflation and the economic climate continuing to take its toll on families, the need for food assistance remains high. Center Table events have provided more than 18,300 meals to families and households.
