Bryan’s House: Evolving for 34 Years

Inclusion and early intervention are a large part of the evolving model at Bryan’s House. For 34 years, the organization has served children with special needs and their families. Established in 1988, Bryan’s House was one of the first nonprofits to help children living with HIV/AIDS. Over the years, Bryan’s House has broadened their scope of services. Their model extends to other medical needs of children such as cerebral palsy, autism, Down Syndrome, and more.
NTX Giving Day: Dental Health Arlington

Dallas Doing Good has the privilege of partnering with Communities Foundation of Texas’ (CFT) North Texas Giving Day. Since 2009, NTx Giving Day has mobilized thousands of nonprofits that help the greater Texas community. The event has become the largest community giving day in the nation, which has been bolstered by the amazing donors. This year’s NTx Giving Day will be held on September 22, 2022. As we look forward to this event, Dallas Doing Good will highlight five dedicated donors who have contributed to NTx Giving Day over the years.
Principal Macklin: Impacting a School to Impact a Community

United to Learn (U2L), a Dallas-based nonprofit that partners with Dallas ISD elementary schools to accelerate student achievement and grow purposeful leaders, is helping 49 Dallas ISD elementary schools gear up for the new school year by fulfilling teachers’ supply requests through their annual Learning Launch program. The program, which is Dallas’ only back-to-school supply drive that provides schools with teacher-requested learning resources and tools, alleviates the financial and time burden of teachers and administrators who typically spend an average of $600 of their own money annually! Learning Launch equips Dallas elementary schools and classrooms for the first day of school and beyond.

Education Opens Doors, a turnkey program, offers 1200 minutes to prepare students to make critical life decisions, helping them reach their fullest potential. As Education Opens Doors celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, the nonprofit has recently announced its new CEO, Roscoe Compton-Kelly.
