Lauren Goin, Lake Highlands High School Senior Class President and her team of 15 high school seniors named HOPE HEALING CANCER are working hard and raising awareness and funds for he Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Lauren is honored to be nominated as a Candidate and Team Leader in the 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign in Dallas County. Over the next 7 weeks her team will be working to raise funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for their mission to find a cure for blood cancers.
It’s an honor to be a part of such an outstanding group of fellow students, but an even larger honor to be able to work towards ending blood cancer for patients, survivors and their families.
“I’m passionate about raising awareness and fundraising for LLS research. I know too many people affected by blood cancers… fellow students, teachers, and neighbors. I’ve learned that by starting with helping people in my community… I CAN make a real difference. And that the impact I make goes well beyond my neighborhood. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love.
