The 2023 Power of Prevention, Recovery Resource Council’s annual fundraiser, will be held on Thursday, Monday, October 30, 2023 at Howell & Dragon in the Dallas Design District. This year’s event is a breakfast program featuring Kristin Dickerson, an award-winning television host of NBC Texas Today, which airs weekdays at 11:30 a.m. on NBC-5. During her 19-year career as a storyteller, her work has been recognized with prestigious awards including a National Edward R. Murrow and nearly a dozen Emmy statues. Kristin will share her recovery journey – from her lowest moment of almost losing everything, to more importantly, the countless blessings that have come from sobriety.
Funds raised during the 2023 Power of Prevention will support the Council’s mission to promote wellness and recovery from disorders relating to alcohol, substance use, trauma, and mental health. Guest check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the breakfast program at 8 a.m. and a post-program meet and greet/book signing at 9:00 a.m.
Sponsorships and tables for 10 begin at $1,500. Individual tickets are $150 and available in limited quantities.
