Art Angel Docents stand for seniors and others with limited mobility in communal living having an excellent quality of life. They showcase artworks from among our myriad partner museums and engage viewers to express their experiences, including memories, opinions, judgements, and feelings. This sharing of personal experience engenders great community camaraderie; indeed, every person is known, loved, and appreciated.
Art Angel Docents use art and engaging conversation to usher participants to their higher selves and new ways of thinking. Using the discipline of “therapeutic art,” they bring BEAUTY, JOY, LOVE, & VITALITY to those living their Golden Years. Who wouldn’t want that for themselves, their families, their communities?
Being an Art Angel Docent is among the most fulfilling service opportunities for people looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people (including their own). We invite all who see value in this program to an on-site demonstration in one of our senior communities at a time of mutual convenience.
