Ashley Sharp: Making Home Inclusive
At Dwell with Dignity, Ashley Sharp and her team design and install home interiors for families who need an environment that will support health and wellness, helping families escape poverty and homelessness through design; one household at a time. Their 2021 Thrift Studio event takes place Thursday, August 26 and then the pop-up is open for regular shopping hours Monday through Saturday 10am to 5pm on August 27 through September 25. The Thrift Studio pop-up features donated furniture, housewares, accessories and high-end designer finds.

Texas is set to receive more than 300 Afghan refugees over the next several months. Some refugees are people who have received Special Immigrant Visas for their cooperation with the US government, possibly as military translators. If you are looking to help, here are some organizations that are helping with the immediate and long-term needs of refugee families as we welcome them to the Dallas area.
