Jason Hernandez: A Mindful Journey From Life Sentence to Community Impact
When he was just 21 years old, Jason Hernandez received a life sentence without parole plus 320 years for nonviolent drug crimes. After receiving clemency in 2013, Jason’s focused his newly free life on helping young people as they face substance use disorders, mental health, and the journey to make positive life choices. His work with McKinney ISD and Serenity High School has come alongside his own healing and life of mindfulness and community impact.
