Michal Powell: Resourcing Causes to Help Those Most In Need
In recognition of all her work in the community, Michal Powell is being honored at the 34th Annual National Philanthropy Day Luncheon – “The Stars of Texas.” Hosted by The Greater Dallas Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Dallas’ National Philanthropy Day celebration brings together area nonprofits, volunteers, funders, foundations, business and community members to honor many of this city’s finest who give selflessly in support of numerous worthy causes.
Neighbors Serving in the Wake of Dallas Tornado
In response to Sunday night’s tornados, neighborhoods and communities around the Dallas area are coming together to distribute food and supplies, and lend a few extra hands. On Tuesday a team from Prestoncrest Church of Christ partnered with Dallas City Councilman Adam McGough and US Congressman Colin Allred, along with other neighbors and volunteer groups, to serve in the hard-hit, northeast Dallas neighborhood of Hamilton Park.
