Kudos to The Big Tex Fair Food Drive-Thru
Like many other Texans, the cancellation of The State Fair of Texas this year was a big disappointment to me. Every year I enjoy strolling through the Women’s Building, looking over the livestock, and mostly, just people watching. When the decision was made to host a drive-thru experience, I was feeling uncertain, but I purchased our tickets and planned to go on Sunday. After hearing about the long waits in line the week before, I briefly considered giving our tickets away. I am so thankful we did not! We arrived at 10 a.m. and you could see that the line was moving steadily. At each station, we were greeted by courtesy and friendly State Fair workers. We were told that the State Fair worked tirelessly last week to make improvement—and it showed!
